(2019-August) This page is a dump of various information I collected regarding camping and activities in the North of Israel. Starting with my own: Personally, our favorite campground is Horshat Tal – large, professional, clean, hot showers, water sinks throughout, various areas to camp, rent a hut, swimming (cold! ) in man made lake, streams run through the park.
The air was perfect and if Irecall correctly we did not need any bug repellent. We did not reservea spot but simply drove their at the last minute as our plans changed, so we only received mattresses to for our tents, but had we reservedin advance, we could have rented one of the huts (chushot) that costonly a bit more than the camping price, which itself was veryreasonable. There plenty of religious families there so minyanim werenot a problem. In terms of activities, we hired trakteronim and drovethrough the massive Odem forest that is not accessible by regular carand saw some incredible sites, including a massive crater which wasbelieved to have been a dormant volcano but the prevailing theory isthat the forest was hit but a meteor storm as there are more than adozen smaller craters surrounding the big one.
Hof Doris right next to Zichron Yaakov. It’s right on the beach and the 6highway gets you real close. The campgrounds are fine. But the realdraw is that it’s right ON the beach. It’s lovely. We actually stayed in one of the little cabins but our friends were atthe campsite. You also have the Techelet tour next to it. If you want to search for the website it’s Dor Tantura Beach. The Dor-Tantura beach is one of the most beautifulbeaches in Israel. The beach is made of a link of islands and bays, which give it a special atmosphere. The Beach is located between Atlit and Hadera, near Kibbutz Nachsholim. Drive route 4 to Foradis crossroad, turnnorth toward Haifa and drive 2km, then turn left to route 7011. There is no entrance to the beach from highway 2. The Dor-Tanturabeach has a long history, underwated archeological site, golden beachand small bays with blue water and dark rocks. Beit YanaiWe like to camp at Beit Yanai just north of Netanya.

3. Krav Maga for teens:The High school years are filled with new experiences, friends, responsibilities andchallenges. Intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and physically – girls ages 14-18 will befiguring out their attitudes towards authority, social conventions to build their authenticsense of self. How can self defense classes help them? First of all, we don’t just learn ‘in our head’. By moving our bodies in empowering ways, our minds receive positive feedback. Wetalk about the elephant in the room ie.
Shul and makolet nearby. Rami Levi a short drive away toward Kiryat Shemona. So many campgrounds, hiking, and activities along route 99. Dear Park in Ramat HaGolan is chilly at night! Kids activities, petting zoo, jumping inflatables, showers, sinks, tent area and huts (? ). Ohel Avraham route 99 through Mas’ada on 98 toward Mt. Hermon, left on 9898 (Nimrod). Small but nice. Awesome view. tent area or rent a teepee, etc.
on the other side (parking lot side)there is a beautiful 25 meter waaterfall that goes into this littlehobbit type setting where you can also ca! tch a swim. the area issmaller and again you probably wont be the onl y ones there. a littlefurther down from there are the hexagonal pools with more room tomove. yes there is a picnic area; last time i was there there were noshowers. there should be a number you can call to find out. if you want a nice campground (if you need the amenities of one)horshat tal further up north is very nice; more expensive but niceleylaid out. with showers. also on the kinneret there are various places people go; dugit forone… this is only about a 20-30 minute drive to yehudia also.
Krav Maga for womenWith maturity comes the realization that discipline is everything. Krav Maga is a life skillthat is easily learned, but is only mastered through dedication and training. Throughoutthe class we practice effective, tested skills for everyday situations: covering the rangeof violent encounters from verbal harassment and abuse, to pushing, grabbing, choking, hand to hand combat situations and weapons defense. Physical krav maga is only a small portion of the skill base necessary to live a full life. Most stressful encounters with others are verbal or psychological.

wahtever you end up doing i”m sure everyone will enjoy. jsut keep inmind most of the country is also on vacation up there with you duringnormal hours. 3. Called 27-Jun-2010. Have hot showers, sinks, camping is on theground (not grass). electricity available. can make a fire. No reservations necessary. Private area for camping (only campers canaccess). Can swim in streams, pools, etc.
enjoy2A. there are three different hikes you can do there; 2 on the sidewhere the campground is (there is an upper and lower fall and thehexagonal pools…. depending on how long a hike you want to do andhow much the kids can take) and the one known as nachal yehudia on theother side of the road; in either you have to walk for a while (35min? ) til you get near water. at nachal yehudia once you enter thewadi yo come first to a nice waterfall that you can swim in, hang outunder the waterfall, rest…. then you walk along the nachal, depending on how many of you, etc…. you are by the stream so thereis opportunity to stop and cool yourself off in one of the smallpools in the stream; then there is an 8 meter fall with a ladder thatyou have to cross; if your kids cant swim you can bring an inner tubeor raft to blow up to float them across. also for anything you havethat you dont want to get wet bring garbage bags to wrap stuff in; itsa short jaunt to the ot! her side but there is no way to continuewithout going into the water (its over your head).
then there isanother small one. soon after is a trail marking heading back to theparking area or you can continue hiking further down the nachal wherethere is another very pretty waterfall that you have to swim through. it will add at least another 11/2 hours to your hike because itleaves you off a kilometer and half or so further down the road whenyou do finally return to civilization. (i did this hike a few timeswith friends and we started out about 3 in the afternoon, so we prettymuch had the place to ourselves as most groups and people who comestart earlier. if you do end up behind a group it can take a while tocross the first waterfall as you have to wait for everyone to go downthe ladder which takes time).
When we went to theOdem winery it was not kosher, though I believe that it recentlybecame kosher (need to check). There are plenty of great tiyulim inthe Golan; my kids favorites are the Yahudiya and Zavitan at theYahudiya reserve site. I believe there is a kosher steakhouse nearOdem, but we did not check it out as we had brought enough food forour own BBQ. Yehudia1. Nice camping area with showers. When I went on the NachalYehudiya hike, there was several areas with water falls where youcould hang out and swim in. 2.
